About us


Umi Oysters is a one of a kind project – an oyster bistro. Founder Evgeny Mescheryakov is both the co-owner and brand-chef who masterfully demonstrates the colossal potential of a kitchen where an excellent product and a unique authors approach are top priority. Umi Oysters serves prime quality seafood, a variety of oysters and fish. Ingredients are delivered by air straight from Japan from our own wholesale buyers who work at the largest Tokyo fish and seafood market Tsukiji. The ultimate freshness of Japanese products is ensured by Japan Ichiban, an Umi Oysters partner with 20 years of experience in the Russian market.

It takes only 12 hours after the plane takes off in Tokyo until the product get directly to the Umi Oysters kitchen. Suzuki seabass, Hamachi, wild Salmon, Bluefin tuna and Albacore, Itoyori, Tai seabream, Pacific lobster, Tairagai giant clam, Mirugai mollusk or Hiogai colored scallops – treat yourself at Umi Oysters! Japanese oysters are the specialty of our bistro. Umi Oysters menu boasts up to 30 species of Japanese oysters including delicate Kumamoto, Matoya, Tanaka and Sima oysters.

In addition to the raw bar, Umi Oysters offers starters, such as warm salad with eel and cashews or dessert mango salad topped with lemon froth, and also Tom Yam with prawns, cooked on your signature homemade paste base and traditional ramen with smoked duck. Hot dishes are mainly fish-based: you can try Kinki, a symbol of the traditional Japanese cuisine, Suzuki, and Kinmendai on rice.

The menu modifies almost weekly, not to mention that it varies depending on the season. Each day Umi Oysters team comes up with new ideas for our guests and guarantees that more experiments and delicious surprises are waiting ahead.
